Safety First
The Outboard electric motor drives a safely-shrouded propeller with no exposed blades to injure errant youthful limbs. It can be turned 360° enabling reverse movement to get out of sticky combat situations, such as incoming water balloons or surprise water pistol attacks.
The speedboat is powered for up to five hours by eight D batteries, and can cruise at speeds of up to 2 mph (a slow walking speed) on calm water such as a pool or small pond. It is controlled by a child sitting in the 1/8”/3mm thick PVC inflated hull via a handhold with a finger trigger that turns the motor on or off immediately. There is enough space for two children and the craft is rated to hold up to 100 pounds.
