The iTunes Jukebox from Hammacher stretches a beckoning hand from a rockin’ fifties dance floor with this stunning combination of a vintage jukebox look with modern music technology. Remember the days when cars were gracefully-chromed monsters, when stereophonic sound was considered a luxury, when the music was simple but revolutionary and Elvis Presley’s double-jointed hip-swinging outraged nations?

iTunes Jukebox

This jukebox takes you back with classic dual-toned neon lighting trim edged with chrome and percolating bubble tubes, accenting the solid furniture-grade wood finish to complete the nostalgic effect. Perfect as the rebellious focal piece of your game room, bar or living room, it harkens back to a bygone age of sock hops, circle skirts, hot rod roadsters, turned-up jeans, greased quiffs and James Dean cool.

Imagine listening to the heart-pounding sounds of Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Elvis, Johnny Burnette, Eddie Cochran and Buddy Holly coming from your very own jukebox, or even watching more modern day music videos or movies on the incorporated flat screen monitor.

There are no scratch-prone vinyl 78s or 45s to get stuck in this cat though; on no, daddy-o, no need for the magical jukebox repair talents of a Fonzie fist, because digital music files don’t “jump” when nearby bopping feet get a little too heavy.

Load It Up!

Music, video, pod casts, movies, TV shows and audiobooks can be downloaded from the fully integrated iTunes system – the world‘s most popular digital media interface. Alternately media can also be transferred back and forth from your iPod through one of the two USB ports, or ripped from compact discs, or synced via Bluetooth® from a computer or mobile device.

The unit contains an 80GB hard drive, which can store up to 20,000 songs or 250 hours of video, putting the jukebox in your local watering hole, diner or ice cream parlor to shame. The incorporated CD-R/CD-RW player can also burn files onto discs for playing elsewhere.

The system is controlled by a 15” LCD touch screen, an external keyboard and mouse, or a less-intrusive remote control. Sound is provided by four powerful speakers totaling 100 watts of output. The wooden base also contains a disc storage area.

Dimensions: The unit is 44½”/111cm tall, 25½”/64cm wide, and 15”/38cm deep, and weighs in at 89½ lbs/41 kg. Price $5000. Shipping $115. Available from hammacher.com. Please allow 1 week for delivery.
